Adult Beverage Solutions has been recognized by Food Business Review Magazine as the exclusive recipient of “Top Beverage Off-Premise Sampling Services 2026,” based on our proprietary methodology, reflecting its position in the industry, and is also named among “Top Food And Beverages Marketing Firms,” reflecting its broader leadership. This profile has been developed by the Food Business Review research and editorial team based on insights from an interview with Bill Havle, Managing Partner.
Consumers rarely purchase a new beverage on impulse. Questions about taste, unfamiliar ingredients, emerging categories, or overall value often create hesitation at the point of purchase. For suppliers, successful sampling depends on more than simply placing a product in someone’s hand. It requires knowledgeable representatives who educate shoppers, engage shoppers in meaningful conversations, and ultimately convert interest into sales. Yet many traditional sampling companies struggled with inconsistent execution, leaving suppliers searching for a better solution. Introducing Adult Beverage Solutions
Owners, Vince Trunzo and Dario Caravette understood that frustration firsthand. Having spent years working in beverage purchasing and brand marketing, they repeatedly encountered sampling companies whose ambassadors arrived late, lacked product knowledge, or failed to engage consumers effectively. Their disciplined approach to retail marketing had already earned the trust of major beverage companies, and when Molson Coors faced the same challenges launching new products, it approached them with an unexpected proposal: build a dedicated sampling company.
That conversation led to the creation of Adult Beverage Solutions (ABS), which supports suppliers, wholesalers, and retailers across 11 Midwestern states through sampling and event programs in grocery stores, liquor stores, bars, festivals, and community events.
Recently Bill Havle, a beverage industry veteran with nearly three decades on the supplier side joined the leadership team, adding deep supplier relationships and helping expand ABS from three states to eleven. Together, the leadership team has built the company around a simple philosophy: it is not a staffing company or a modeling agency, but a selling organization where every event is designed to educate consumers, drive purchases, and deliver measurable results. Recognition as the Top Beverage Off-Premise Sampling Services provider reflects the value it delivers through every customer interaction.
“We have a very solid ambassador team that is well trained, shows up on time, delivers outstanding events, and provides valuable information about the brands it represents,” says Bill Havle, managing partner.
Product Knowledge Drives Better Sales
Every campaign begins long before consumers receive their first sample. ABS recruits ambassadors through interviews and background checks before preparing them with structured training that combines professional conduct with detailed product education. The ambassadors study supplier materials before every event, enabling them to answer questions, explain flavor profiles, discuss promotions, and recommend products across beer, wine, spirits, ready-to-drink beverages, THC drinks, non-alcoholic beverages, and selected snack brands.
Education becomes especially valuable when introducing emerging categories. THC beverages, for example, initially attracted fewer visitors because shoppers lacked familiarity with the category. ABS partnered with the Hemp Beverage Alliance to develop educational materials explaining serving sizes and key product information, creating more productive conversations at sampling tables and improving sales outcomes. ABS also manages the licensing, insurance, and compliance requirements for every market it serves, ensuring each event is executed responsibly and in accordance with local regulations.
Data Turns Every Event into a Successful One
ABS collects detailed analytics that measure consumers approached, samples distributed, products sold, pricing, inventory movement, and overall event performance. Rather than just reporting activity, the company helps suppliers understand what their investment produced and identifies practical ways to improve future campaigns. Teams evaluate whether communication, promotional materials, or event presentation can increase engagement, while successful programs provide strategies that can be replicated across additional markets.
What began as a response to inconsistent sampling has evolved into a company that helps suppliers turn every customer interaction into an opportunity to educate, engage, and sell. As beverage categories continue to evolve and consumers seek greater confidence in their purchasing decisions, ABS remains committed to delivering knowledgeable ambassadors, data-driven insights, and flawless execution that transform sampling into measurable business growth.
